The Tinderbox

PlayGround Collective meet Hans Christian Anderson.

The PlayGround Collective have had nothing but success since their arrival on Wellington's theatrical scene with The Hunting of the Snark back in 2007. Since then, writer Eli Kent has picked up both the Peter Harcourt Award for Outstanding New Playwright of the Year for Rubber Turkey and the Bruce Mason Award, director Eleanor Bishop has received a Chapman Tripp Award for Most Promising New Director and the company has been awarded a Chapman Tripp for Most Original Production for their critically acclaimed The Intricate Art of Actually Caring, as well as a swag of other awards.

After two years of Intricate Art the company tackles new ground with Hans Christian Anderson's The Tinderbox. Inspired by UK based Kneehigh Theatre Playground Collective aims to bring it's own unique point of view to this classic tale.

Performed by Robin Kerr, Eli Kent and Gareth Hobbs
